The cost varies depending on your needs and website size. Typically, most small businesses have websites that are anywhere from three to seven pages. These websites cost anywhere between $1250 and $1950. Once websites start to go over seven pages and/or require special integrations such as online payments, photo galleries, video pages, or other specific needs, the price will start to increase. For most local businesses, a website will cost $1250.
Other costs that come with having a website:
Domain registration – $9.95 for the first year, then yearly renewals of around $15. We recommend registering a domain for the maximum of 10 years from the start
Hosting – Our hosting costs $15/month paid yearly
Content – You can write content for your website or we can do it for you. Each page, aside from pages like a Contact Us page, should have 1000 words minimum. If you want us to write your content, we ask that you write your own About Us page since you know your business the best. We can add to it if necessary.
Email – We recommend using Outlook for email. For our own business, we use Microsoft 365 which costs $12.50/month per user and includes desktop/web/mobile versions of Word, Excel, and Powerpoint to name a few. Most programs businesses use anyway. Keeping your email separate from your hosting is extremely important. If you ever change hosting providers your emails will never be lost.
Marketing – Not required, but most businesses need to market their website to get business. We offer pay per click advertising on a monthly retainer basis
SEO – Paying for SEO is something to consider. SEO is a marathon and not a sprint. Paid marketing will get you immediate business for a price. SEO will get you “free” business but will take months, sometimes over a year, to start seeing the flow of “free” organic traffic
